Coaching Centre Firing Case: Patna Court Stays Arrest of ‘Khan Sir’
Patna, June 9: A Patna court has granted interim relief to renowned educator and YouTuber Khan Sir by staying his arrest in connection with a recent firing incident outside his coaching institute in Bihar's capital city.
The court's decision came after Khan Sir approached the judiciary seeking anticipatory bail following the registration of a case linked to violence and alleged firing near the premises of his coaching centre. The interim protection means that law enforcement agencies cannot arrest him until the next hearing in the matter.
The controversy began after a disturbance was reported outside the coaching institute, leading to allegations that security personnel associated with the institute were involved in the firing incident. Following the event, police launched an investigation and registered an FIR against several individuals, including Khan Sir.
Authorities have stated that the investigation is ongoing and that evidence is being examined to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Meanwhile, Khan Sir has denied any involvement in the alleged firing and has maintained that he has always cooperated with law enforcement officials.
The educator, who enjoys a massive following among competitive exam aspirants across India, has claimed that the allegations against him are baseless. His legal team argued before the court that there was no direct evidence linking him to the incident and sought protection from arrest during the investigation.
The court, after considering the submissions, granted interim relief and directed that no coercive action be taken against Khan Sir until further proceedings. However, the investigation into the case will continue as authorities gather additional evidence and record statements from those involved.
The development has attracted significant public attention due to Khan Sir's popularity among students and his influential presence on social media platforms. Supporters have welcomed the court's decision, while authorities continue to emphasize that the legal process will determine the facts of the case.
The matter is expected to come up for further hearing in the coming days, when the court will consider the anticipatory bail plea and review the progress of the investigation.
